Well hi there! Thanks so much for stopping by! Born and raised in the Midwest, Sara is proud to call the Twin Cities her creative home. In addition to her work in Minnesota, Sara has worked steadily over the last 15 years at a wide range of regional theaters, including Portland Center Stage, Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, The Denver Center, Syracuse Stage and Idaho Shakespeare Festival. She was the 2017 recipient of the Regional Broadway World award for her performance in Fun Home at Portland Center Stage (Best supporting actress in a musical). She has been involved in the development of several new works, including the first public workshop of Rattlesnake Kate by Neyla Pekark (The Lumineers) at the Denver Center and Theater Latté Da’s NEXT Festival presentation of My Àntonia (Àntonia) with book by Noah Brody and music and lyrics by Dan and Kate Kilbane.
She holds a certificate in Music Theater from the New York Film Academy and is a proud graduate of the Baldwin Wallace Conservatory of Music, where she earned her Bachelor’s of Music in Music Theater.
Sara is a resident of Minneapolis where she lives with a multitudinous collection of memoirs, plants, cookbooks and her polydactyl cat, Fred. Sara is an avid knitter, gardener, choral music enthusiast and songwriter. Keep up with her antics by following her on Instagram at @saraelysabethe
